1). Still struggling on being F.acebook free for 1 day. I can't seem to do it. Trying my darndest...it's just not happening.
2). A lady in my ward was in a horrific car accident this past week. She is in ICU and from what I can gather is in a medically induced coma. She was hit head-on. I remember my head-on accident and can relate to what she must have been thinking/feeling right before impact. (It wasn't her fault; the driver who hit her was trying to avoid rear-ending a truck, or something, and in order to do that, swerved and hit her.)
3). My mom is gone for 10+ days visiting her "friend". I'm doing better; hearing about him so much now (from my mom) doesn't make me throw up in my mouth as much as it did.
4). My mom took off her wedding band today.
5). There are a few Singles Conferences coming up. I'm feeling confident yet anxious, all at the same time.
I am a 30ish LDS single female posting some notes about my life.

A pat on my own back!
Here's to tooting my own horn:
1). I rode 18 1/2 minutes non-stop on my exercise bike this morning. I kept my pace right around 20 m.p.h. I rode 5.98 miles.
2). Then did my weighted hula hoop non-stop for 3 minutes! (In the past, I couldn't even use the hoop for one rotation.) Yay me!

Hello
Remember me?
1). Went to D.isneyland yesterday.
2). I have to do a presentation next week with 2 girls who need to have their trash kicked. They are so rude and disrespectful to my classmates and the instructors. They are so immature. Even after being called out by one of the instructors last week about texting and talking during class - they still were texting Wednesday night.
3). Had a super fun girls night on Thursday evening. Found out one of my friends has a blog - and it's open for all the world to see.
4). More to come ASAP.

The lecture
Today, I went to the doctor.
I love this doctor.
It takes me 2+ hours to see her (long story - I see her at a clinic) - but it's worth it.
I'm going to expand more on our appointment later...but suffice to say, she tells me how good I look, etc. And, then she asked me if I ever want to have a baby...?
Ummm...what?
Anyway, she begins to tell me that since I've lost some weight, I really need to get out there and start marketing myself. She doesn't want me to wake up at 40 wanting to get pregnant (and not being able to, or something) - and then wish I would have tried harder at 35 to get pregnant!
She tells me I need to start spreading the word that I'm willing to be set up on blind dates, etc. BUT, she does not want me going out and getting pregnant before I get married. (Her words!) Believe it or not, it wasn't too awkward and I should have asked her if she knows any good, single LDS men!

Quitting
I need to quit F.acebook cold turkey. I'm spending too much freaking time on there-and neglecting my blog in the mean time!

A way to decrease the crappiness feeling
I just remembered that as I was leaving church today, the kid who told me last week I was a, "Google plex cow wife," - caught me and said, "Don't forget you are a google plex cow wife!"
That's awesome. Things like this are how Primary rules.

I feel like crap on a plate
So, yeah. I pretty much feel like crap on a plate right now. I'm trying so hard to be positive and optimistic, but it's not working. HOW do you turn into a positive person? I've never really been that type - but really do want to change it about me. How the crap do I do so?

So apparently when you find time to update your blog with a much needed post
Blogger craps out and won't upload anything.

And no, I wasn't just going to vote for him because he's LDS
Evidently, I am not voting this election. That really saddens me, because even though there is a lot about current politics I do not understand (and I will be the first to admit it, but I am constantly reading all I can), I believe in what Mitt stands for. I do not believe anything McCain stands for, or the others, for that matter.

Because sometimes I'm tired. And lazy
It's easier to just link to things I'm on board with. :) See some of them below:
This is freaking awesome.
The media needs to leave her alone. Like, no really! Let her be!

We had to do some juggling in Primary today
As we were 1 teacher short. I was a bit surprised because normally this person is good about getting a sub. Well, not so much for this morning. Anyway, the Primary President ran to the library and got a video for the kids to watch. I was the one who ended up pinch-hitting, which is fine. And, to boot, we got to watch this movie! In LDS culture, this movie is pretty well known. I was pleasantly surprised at how much the kids were engaged in this movie. I had stopped the movie a few times throughout to check for understanding. One of the kids said in class said that I was a "Googleplex cow wife"! I took that as a compliment, that is for sure. :)

I'm really liking my new job
I am working as an English Language Development (ELD) Teacher, and I love it. Just started a couple of weeks ago...and I LOVE IT! This is a pull-out program where the students come to me. I have 2 sets of students, and then my 3rd chunk of time (it's actually in the middle of the 2 sets) is going into a 1st grade classroom working on mathematics with a small group of students in the back of the classroom (number sense, etc.) I'm not too sure about funding, etc. or how long this program will last, but am learning as much as I can for as long as I can!
Boy. I need to learn some editing skills, as the above paragraph doesn't make too much sense. OR, can I just chalk it up to being tired?
